Because the liberal media, the Lamestream Media, they only exist to drag people down.
Mother Jones has a great article right now which illustrates exactly why I hate the press so much. These guys, they come sniffing around, sucking up, promising not to write a smear piece - and then we have our interview, and they publish what I said, and I sound like some kind of whiny idiot! I always thought Mother Jones was some kind of Leftie liberal hippie thing, but maybe I was wrong. I can tell they really get me, the outrage that I felt when John Ziegler posted parts of our interview online. Taking my remarks out of context, making it sound like I was being super bitchy and bitter when I said that Caroline Kennedy would get treated better in the media than I did, because of her social class. Obviously that was taken out of context! I was being used!
Sure, okay, I did say those words. But you have to understand, inside my head they didn't sound bad, the way they do when you watch the tape. These guys, they ask me to say things, and when I do, they make those things sound like the words of a crazy lady. But I'm not crazy! Right???? I'm being majorly used!!! And exploited!!!! Unflippinbelievable!
That Ziegler dude, he promised he wouldn't make it look like I was whining or self-centered. HE PROMISED. And if I say something that could - in the wrong context - sound whining or self-centered, I expected that he, I don't know. Maybe he could Autotune it or something. I hadn't really gotten that far, to tell you the truth.
BUT OBVIOUSLY IT'S HIS FAULT I SOUND THAT WAY.
You know why? Because the liberal media, the Lamestream Media, they only exist to drag people down. And if they can't find any other reason to drag you down, then by golly, they will drag you down with your very own words. Those snakes!
Ziegler accused me of having a "bunker mentality," but seriously, can you blame me? It seemed like every time I gave an interview, they found some dang thing to publish that made me sound bad. It's hard to believe how bad they can make you sound, when they want to. They take your words, and they put some kind of spin on it, and suddenly you sound like a big baby whining that you're being exploited by Tina Fey. I don't understand it!
But I'm sure as heck not talking to any more reporters. I learned THAT lesson, you betcha!
